Registry Radix reported on the status of premium domains in the 1st half of the year

Radix Registry, which manages 10 new generic top-level domains (.TECH, .PRESS, .SITE, .SPACE, .STORE, .ONLINE, WEBSITE, .FUN, .HOST and .UNO), has published a report on premium domain name activity in the first half of the current year. The document shows that the company is doing very well: premium domains for the reporting period brought her 3.82 million dollars. This exceeds both the figures for the same period last year (2.91 million dollars) and the result of the previous half year (2.98 million).

A significant part of this amount - specifically $ 2.5 million - was income from registration renewals: in domain zones managed by Radix, it is more expensive not only to register premium names, but also to renew them, reminds Domain Name Wire, reporting this news. At the same time, the average renewal rate increased by 38% compared to the previous half of the year, and registration of 87% of all premium names is being renewed for at least the third time.

The .TECH domain remains the leader among domain zones. Here, during the first six months of this year, 441 new premium names were registered, which brought the company a total of 390 thousand dollars. This exceeds the figures of the previous half of the year both in terms of the number of registrations (then it was 332) and in terms of the amount of income (335 thousand dollars). The .TECH domain also leads in terms of revenue from the renewal of premium name registrations.
