IT.com sold for $3.8 million

Resource DN Journal has announced the upcoming update of its rating of the largest domain deals. It will be very important: the leader will change in the rating. Last week it became known about the closing of the deal to sell the IT.com domain for $3.8 million. The amount is a record for this year, immediately ahead of the figure of the former leader, the Galaxy.com domain, by $2 million.

Initially, the deal with IT.com was announced in November last year. However, the buyer contributed only $1.5 million, the rest of the amount was supposed to be paid in installments over 36 months. Now, the new domain owner decided not to drag out the process and paid the balance in full, thus closing the deal. The registration service site Get.it.com is already running on the domain. It invites everyone to register "speaking" domain names ending in it.com - for example, buy.it.com, sell.it.com, etc.

Another very large deal also deserves attention: the domain name IV.com changed its owner for 570 thousand dollars. This will allow the deal to take the eighth position at the moment in the DN Journal rating. In addition, this is the first transaction with a two-letter domain in the .COM zone since the beginning of the year, information about which appeared in the public domain (information about the sale of IT.com, as mentioned above, appeared at the end of last year).
