Donuts, which manages an extensive portfolio of new gTLDs, has presented its Domain Name Trend Report for May this year. The Report states that the most popular domain zone under the management of Donuts remains the .INFO domain. It is the leader in the average amount of transactions with names on the secondary market, and it is also the most in demand among registrants almost all over the world – in North America, Europe, the Middle East and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The exception is South America, where the domain zone .DIGITAL turned out to be the most popular in May.
If we talk about the registration of premium domain names, the .GLOBAL domain became the leader of the May: it accounted for 6 out of 20 premium domain names registered at the highest possible price (the prices themselves are not indicated in the report). In addition, the report does not miss an opportunity to remind about the advantages of names in new gTLDs. He states that the names registered in May in the domain zones managed by Donuts turned out to be 15% shorter, and there were 43% fewer cases of using the "hyphen" sign in them than in the domains registered in the .COM zone during the same period.
