Leonid Todorov, General Manager of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association, has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of DotAsia. DotAsia is a non-profit organization that operates the .ASIA top-level domain. The domain was created in 2007 and is intended for companies, organizations and projects in the Asia-Pacific region.
Leonid Todorov has worked in the domain industry for many years. He is involved in Internet Governance, international cooperation and the development of new TLD. He served as Head of the Department for Cooperation with Government Authorities and International Organizations of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and made a contribution to the successful launch of the Russian national domain .РФ and new top-level domains .DETI and .TATAR.
One of Leonid's main "children" is the Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF), where he was one of the main initiators and ideologists of the Forum. For many years, Leonid Todorov was a member of the RIGF Organizing Committee, actively participated in the preparation and discussion of the Forum’s program, led meetings and discussion panels.
In February 2015, he was appointed as General Manager of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD). Until 2020, he served on the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) Multi-Stakeholder Steering Group.
Leonid is also a lecturer at the European Summer School on Internet Governance and the Asia Pacific Academy of Internet Governance, as well as an advisor to the Asia Pacific Internet School on Internet Governance.
