Radix Reported Last Year's Results

New gTLD registry Radix published a report on the results of its work last year. The registry manages 10 new gTLDs – .ONLINE, .SITE, .STORE, .TECH, .SPACE, .FUN, .WEBSITE, .HOST, .PRESS, .UNO – and, judging by the numbers presented, business is doing well. The company's total revenue in 2021 was $38 million, up 35% from the previous year. Even more serious growth was shown by the company's profit - it rose by more than 60% over the year. By the way, representatives of Radix did not give absolute figures here.

Domain Incite, reporting this news, draws attention to the fact that a significant portion of the company's income last year was made up of fees for the renewal of previously registered domain names (excluding premium registrations). They brought Radix 72% of all revenues, while a year earlier this share was 64%. At the same time, the income from new registrations remained almost at the same level - $5.7 million in 2021 against $5.6 million in 2020. Also, the growth in revenue from premium name registrations and renewals of these registrations is not too impressive: $4.75 million last year and $4.5 million a year earlier.

Other features include the geographic growth. In 2020, 64% of all company revenue came from US registrants. Now this share has decreased to 47%, which indicates the growth of interest in domain zones managed by Radix in other countries of the world.
