NamesCon conference is going be held in the regular format for the first time in three years - participants will attend the meeting offline

The NamesCon Global conference organizers have announced the dates of its holding. It is going to be held from August 31 to September 3 in Austin, the capital of Texas (USA). NamesCon is the largest annual domain business conference traditionally attended by representatives of all major registries and registrar companies, as well as by many well-known investors and analysts of the domain market. The conference also hosts an auction of domain names, where deals are often made that end up in the top ratings of the year.

The information is noteworthy, first of all, because for the first time in almost 3 years the NamesCon conference will be held in the regular format - the participants will attend it in offline. The last time NamesCon participants met this way was in January 2020, Domain Investing recalls when reporting this news. Then, due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, events were held exclusively online. Now, the organizers, apparently, are completely confident in the victory over the coronavirus: registration of participants and booking tickets for the conference have already opened. Moreover, just the possibility of online participation in the conference has not been stipulated in any way - at least not yet.

The domain community took the news with great optimism. If life does not bring any unpleasant surprises, NamesCon Global 2022 could be the first major event where domain market players come together for the first time in a long time. But, the first claims have already been made by US representatives. The fact is that on the first Monday of September the United States celebrates a national holiday - Labor Day, and this circumstance allows Americans to arrange a three-day mini-vacation. This year, Labor Day will be celebrated on Monday, September 5th, and the conference will end on Saturday, September 3rd. Thus, the vacation plans of many American representatives of the domain business were in jeopardy.
