An Australian comedy troupe has registered their colleague’s name as a domain as a prank

The scandal around the most popular streaming service Spotify does not calm down in the media space. It was Joe Rogan, the author of the most-listened podcast on Spotify, who became the source of it. He has allowed himself several times very dubious remarks on the Covid-19 pandemic. Joe has also invited experts who have spoken in an “anti-vaccine” spirit during some conversations, what angered many users. Canadian musician Neil Young has issued an ultimatum to the Spotify, demanding that either all of his records or Joe Rogan's podcast be removed from the service. As a result, the service has chosen to remove Young's songs.

After that, the scandal erupted in earnest. Following Yang, singer Joni Mitchell has pulled her songs from Spotify. Many famous people from rock musicians to the members of the British Royal Family have roundly condemned Spotify. The Chaser, an Australian comedy troupe that hosts satirical TV shows, podcasts and etc., has also decided to make their own contribution to it and registered joerogan.com.au domain. According to Domain Incite, the domain redirects to the Australian government’s vaccine-booking web site where you can sign up for the Covid-19 vaccination. Thus, Australian satirists unequivocally expressed their attitude towards the actions of their American colleague.

Rogan is currently trying to calm the situation down stating that his words and actions were misinterpreted. And the Spotify service changed the content moderation rules, including a ban on denying the COVID-19 existence or its threat to human life and health content.
