A major portfolio of domain names is awaiting a rich buyer. The collection of geographic domain names was started way back in 1999. All its domain names are registered in .COM and begin with the word “Hello,” followed by the names of cities and regions: HelloChicago.com, HelloMiami.com, HelloSeattle.com, HelloDenver.com, etc. HelloEarth.com is home to the portfolio, which often goes by Hello Earth.
In 2014, the collection, having about 1,500 names at that time, sold for $2.3 million. According to well-known domain investor Robbie Ferguson’s site, the portfolio is back on the market. Over the past years, it has added new valuable names, such as HelloLondon.com, making it less focused on American geography. The total number of names in the portfolio has reached 2,000. The domain names’ prices have also grown, and eventually the portfolio owner wants to sell it for no less than $3.9 million.
