EURid, which manages the EU ccTLD .EU, presented the data from the second part of its large-scale study. The research aims to find out exactly how registrants use their domain names and, with this knowledge, to boost the competitive advantages of the domain zone. The first part of the study was completed last November.
The study monitored 150,000 domain names. As it turned out, 82.5% of all studied domains are connected to web servers. 81% support or can potentially support email. And more than half of the domain names (77,760 to be exact) have rich content websites. All these indicators cannot but be recognized as deserving of respect, according to Online Domain.
