Restena Foundation that manages Luxembourg’s ccTLD .LU has begun the auction of one and two-character .LU domain names that weren’t open for registration before. You can follow the auction or take part in it at the special website https://1-2.dns.lu/auctions. Today j.lu provoked the most interest, with 11 bids and a high bid of 3,000 euros.
However, j.lu remains the only domain that has attracted a four-figure bid. The domain hu.lu with six bids has the second highest number of offers with a high of 315 euros. But some action is possible here considering that Hulu is a popular US television network. Still, it is noteworthy that prices for reserve premium domains remain affordable. The auction will take at least 12 days, but it could be extended into December, according to Domain Incite. On December 15, all one and two-character domain names not already registered will be released for registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
