The Palestinian Nation Internet Naming Authority (PNINA), which manages the .ps Palestinian ccTLD, announced that on January 6 it will add these names to its premium list, which will make them available for registration. There are no local presence eligibility requirements under PNINA policy, which means that almost everyone will be able to register one-character names.</p>

However, these domains are not cheap. The first year of registration will cost $2,000, with a $500-a-year renewal fee. And PNINA will offer only wholesale prices for .ps domains, which means the registrants will have to pay even more. It is hard to say if there is any sense in making such an investment. For example, Domain Incite writes that Palestine is only partly recognized as a state and is not a full member of the United Nations. Its ccTLD has been in the root since 2000, but has not been very popular. According to Domain Name Stat, there are a little over 6,000 names registered in .ps to date.</p>
