MicroStrategy has announced in a press release that it has sold its domain Voice.com. It was purchased for $30 million by Block.One that positions itself as “a blockchain-based social media application,” whatever that means. This is the largest domain name sale of the year and one of the biggest of all time.
GoDaddy that brokered the deal calls it the fifth largest domain name sale ever. In fact, GoDaddy received a commission for its services, so the actual sum paid by Block.One was higher, and probably, much higher. Sources report that the entire sum was paid in cash. According to DomainInvesting.com, MicroStrategy still owns a small but extremely valuable portfolio of domain names, including Strategy.com, Alert.com, Hope.com, Wisdom.com, and Courage.com.
