According to DNJournal, last week saw the largest deal in country code domain zones of the year to date. Famous German domain investor Christoph Gruneberg sold the domain Bad.de for €119,000 or $138,040. The ccTLD bumped the Music.ai domain from the top of the chart of the year’s biggest country code sales, the position Music.ai had held since January when it was sold at $101,500.
The deal used the trading platform Sedo. The buyer is unknown yet. So far, the domain is not associated with any website. Remarkably, Bad.de not only became the most expensive country code domain of the year but also landed in the 25th position on the chart of top-priced sales in the history of Germany’s .DE zone.
