Christian.com sold for $600,000

Sedo domain name broker Dave Evanson posted on his Twitter account that the deal on the Christian.com domain name was closed. The domain was sold for $600,000 and the buyer’s identity hasn’t been revealed yet. This means that the sale has become the fifth largest domain deal this year that was publicly announced.

Domain Name Wire notes that Christian.com was sold for the exact same amount (and also by Sedo) in 2009 to Boris Kreiman who announced he was going to create a special social network for Christians. However, the project was never launched. Soon after the deal was made, the domain went under Whois privacy until late 2015 when the registrant was revealed to be Avatar Invest Inc. from Moscow.
