Registry DNS.PT that manages the country-code domain (ccTLD) of Portugal reported on its official website that the number of names registered in .PT domain zone for the first time in history has exceeded one million. The post highlighted that the millionth domain was meckos.pt registered by a Portuguese industrial company Meckos that makes equipment for textile production.
The registry also highlights that there were 976,370 registered domain names in the domain last year and this year it managed to add 23 thousand domains more. Thus, in January there were 10,693 new names registered in .PT, this is 30% higher than in January 2017, which indicates excellent growth rates. As of 15 March, there were 1,001,552 names registered in the Portuguese ccTLD.
