GoDaddy confidently retains the status of the largest domain registrar. This is evidenced by Verisign’s statistics that the DomainNameWire published. According to the statistics as of October 2017, 46,325,700 registrations in .COM domain zone were made through GoDaddy. It is followed by Tucows with only 15,721,852 registrations. Endurance is on the third place with 8,138,111 registrations.
The same companies and in the same order lead by the number of new registrations in .COM domain for the period of 2017 accounted by the statistics. 942,007 registrations were done through GoDaddy, 197,433 – through Tucows and 170,597 – through Endurance. All figures given take into account registrars’ as well as affiliated companies’ statistical data.
