Verisign, the registry of .COM domain names,has reported its latest milestone. Yesterday, on June 27, the number of .COM domain registrations topped 129 million, a new record. The Domains has published a list of previous records in the domain zone .COM, which includes 126 million names in March 2016, 127 million names in May 2016 and 128 million names in September last year. The growth rate may be slowing but, nevertheless, it does continue to grow.
Verisign also disclosed the exact number: 129,106,640 .COM domain names have been registered as of yesterday.
