Valuable “geographic” domains have been put up for sale

Well-known domain investor Skip Hoagland decided to retire and because of that he put his domain portfolio up for sale. Unlike many other investors, Hoagland has never been after quantity, this is why his portfolio is not too big but includes domains that experts value very highly. First of all, this is true of “geographic” domain names. Skip Hoagland’s collection includes, for example, Atlanta.com, Cuba.com, Honolulu.com, Baltimore.com, Geneva.com and Telaviv.com. Any of them costs hardly less than half a million dollars, the most expensive ones could be as expensive as 5 million. Apart from “geographic”, there are other valuable domain names in the portfolio, for instance, Fishing.com and Shooting.com.

Hoadland himself told Domain Name Wire that he would prefer to sell his portfolio entirely as a “package” deal. The investor himself estimates the price of the portfolio to be roughly 30 million dollars, which would bring at least 15 million of net income. Moreover, Skip Hoadland doesn’t rule out the possibility to sell individual domains, but in this case the price will be higher than if the domain is sold as part of a package deal.
