Typo of the US President Donald Trump, who used the non-existent word “covfefe” in his tweet, caused a great number of jokes. However, someone got inspired enough to seriously engage on the domain market. The Domains resource reports that lately the name “covfefe” has been registered in over 50 generic top-level domains from .COM to .GURU.
The tendency to register domain names related to topical events on a big scale is not new; however, domain business experts are certain that in the majority of the cases such registrations are a waste of money and “covfefe” is a vivid confirmation of this. Even today the number of jokes on the President’s typo has clearly waned. It’s hard to imagine who and why would need a domain covfefe.com in six months, not to mention covfefe.photography or covfefe.guru
