Not-for-profit EURid, which is the registry of the European domain .EU and its internationalized version .ЕЮ, reported on the expansion of the possibilities to resolve domain disputes in domain zones that it manages. Alternative Dispute Resolution is used for these domains, which allows resolving conflicts related to domain names without filing a lawsuit.
Previously, the only authority that resolved domain disputes in .EU and .ЕЮ under ADR policy was the Czech Arbitration Court (CAC) in Prague. Now, however, as EURid informs, such disputes would also be resolved by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center. WIPO will support cases in all 24 official languages of the European Union from June 1st of this year.
