ICANN has published its tax returns for the previous fiscal year. Domain Incite analyzed the documents and determined that the staff is now making more money. Thus, the 17 highest-paid ICANN staffers received a total of $7.3 million in a combination of salary and bonuses, or about $429,000 on average, for the year. That is $603,000 more than last year, in total.
The salaries of three of these executives increased by over $100,000, not including bonuses. While most top staff saw pay increases below 5%, raises of 21%, 34%, 44% and even 58% were recorded compared to the previous year. ICANN has 155 staff members (over half of the total staff) who earned over $100,000 a year, compared to 132 last year.
