Radix launches a service of “renting” domain names

Radix, a registry that operates a significant number of new gTLDs, announced the launch of a Domain Rental Market. It has been implemented in conjunction with a large online platform for buying and selling domain names called Undeveloped, DomainNameWire reports. The idea of the service is that interested parties could get domain names for a period of one month and not buy them. We are talking about premium names, initially registered by Radix for its own purposes. Such names are usually very expensive this is why “renting” could be a good option for some of the users.

However, it should be noted that the price for renting is not at all low either. For example, the monthly “rent” for such names as Toy.store, Carpets.store, Gift.store, Pet.store or Book.store will cost as much as US$6,667. Further on, Undeveloped suggests to offer the “renting” of domain names service to other registries of gTLDs.
