The registration renewal period in the new domains as usual led to a sharp decrease in a number of registered names Large company Minds+Machines that manages many generic top-level domains is having a bad day. Registration renewal time has come in many domains, which obviously means that the number of registered names has significantly decreased. Domain .RODEO suffered the most, it lost 60% of its names. Now there are only 824 registered names in this domain zone, reports The Domains portal, referring to RegistrarStats data.
Things are not going well in the .VODKA domain either, it lost 40% of the domains and the number of registered names is now down to 1972. By the way, another “alcohol” domain that belongs to Minds+Machines – .BEER – is doing much better. It still has about 10600 registrations, however, also didn’t escape the decline – by 16%. Other new gTLDs that suffered a decline include .FISHING, .COOKING, .YOGA, .CASA and nearly a dozen more. Total decrease in Minds+Machines domains in the recent days is about 30 percent. Investors reacted to that quickly: company’s shares traded on the London stock exchange are down 3 percent.
