Resource The Domains reports this news, referring to the statistics of Verisign, the company that manages .COM. The registry clarifies that active domains and well as registered but not configured for use domains that are on hold status were included.
This is a new record achievement of .COM domain, which is an undisputable leader on the market of generic top-level domains. Domain zone .COM reached 127 million on May 13th this year. Therefore, it took less than four months to get one million new registrations.
