Diplomatic Academy to host roundtable discussion on Internet governance

On February 18, 2016, the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry will host a roundtable discussion, “Internet Governance: 2015 Results and Prospects.” The event is sponsored by the Coordination Center for TLD RU, in cooperation with a working group on communications and IT of the Russian Government’s Expert Council.

The participants are to discuss global Internet governance, multilateral cooperation between the parties to this process, prospects for international cooperation in this area, and Internet fragmentation trends as a challenge to international cooperation. Panel experts include Mikhail Yakushev (ICANN), Mikhail Medrish (Internet Support Foundation), Oleg Demidov (PIR Center), Georgy Gritsai and Alex Semenyaka (Internet Information Center).

The roundtable discussion will take place on February 18, 2016, in the assembly hall of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry at 53/2 Ostozhenka Street, Bld.1, Moscow.

The event starts at 3 pm.
