Domain name registrar CSC that specializes in brand promotion in domain space has presented its New gTLD Utilization Report. It summarizes the development results of the new domains in November. The Domains news portal published some of the report’s results. According to it, the number of webpages registered in new gTLDs that are in Alexa.com 1 million most popular webpages rating increased by 25% (5340 in October against 6654 in November). The number of active dot-brands also increased: in November the number was 75 against 52 a month ago. (CSC researchers call dot-brands active if there are more than 5 names registered in them).
CSC report also gives its own rating of the most popular new domains. The method unites Alexa.com principles with the evaluation of the total number of registrations. According to CSC, the most successful new domains in November were .MEDIA, .NEWS, .TODAY, .SEXY, .TOKYO, .LIFE and .WEBSITE. All of them were in the rating in October as well. Domains .NINJA, .LINK and .ZONE were replaced by .SOCIAL, .SITE and .SPACE.
