54th ICANN meeting is taking place in Dublin

The official opening ceremony of 54 ICANN's meeting took place in Dublin. The first sections meetings passed in the Irish capital. ICANN's CEO Fadi Shehade made an accent on key events and achievements of corporation for 2015 and told about the tasks faced.

The main task is certainly the development of mechanisms and structures of global network management. The U.S. Government keeping control under the domain space earlier declared its determination to cede this control in hands of Internet community if there will be all tools necessary for this purpose. On the eve of ICANN's 54 meeting Fadi Shehade said in the interview that he hopes new principles of Internet management will be in general developed and approved in Dublin.

At the same time, on the eve of the meeting leading European and American politicians reminded again that ICANN need to provide maximum global network management transparency of future structures. They hoped that the corporation will manage to reach full subordination and accountability to world Internet community to avoid even theoretical possibility of control concentration under the Internet in hands of these or those government or political structures. 54 ICANN's meeting in Dublin will last until October, 22.
