The ICANN Board of Directors approved a venue for the 56th ICANN's meeting, according to Domain Incite. The meeting will be held in June next year in Panama City, a capital of the Central American country with the same name. As it was previously decided, ICANN 56 falls between the March meeting in Marrakech, Morocco and October’s meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
It is necessary to remind that ICANN earlier made a decision to change a format meetings in 2015. The meeting in Panama will become the first which will be held in new, shortened format. It will be an example of a four-day schedule that eschews traditional sessions such as the opening ceremony and public forum..
