Verisign reported a new record achieved on its site. One of the pages of the site is monitoring a quantity of names in the .COM and .NET zones, owned by Verisign, on the daily basis. Yesterday, on September 29, a number of registered names in the .COM exceeded 120 million for the first time in its history.
According to the current data, there are 120 088 548 registered names in the .COM today, and 15 067 656 names are in the .NET. Besides, there are 119 219 432 active domains in the .COM, and 14 923 632 are in the.NET.
