New details of previously published ICANN's report, An Analysis of New gTLD Universal Acceptance, became known. As it was previously reported, their research revealed that there are still enough obstacles on the way of Unversal Acceptance (a possibility of free access to any gTLD regardless the devices and software used for it, as well as a number of characters in domain names). These obstacles can be not only technical, but also ideological.
According to Domain Incite, the research, for example, found out that access to the national Israel's .IL is completely blocked in such countries as Syria and Iran. Besides, the attempts of access to a number of new "adult" gTLDs are likely to be blocked in Iran. It is especially about .SEXY. .PORN and. ADULT weren't considered by research, however it is possible to assume with high degree of probability that the situation with them is in the same way in Iran.
