.ONLINE continues to confirm a reputation of one of the most promising domains among all new gTLDs, setting a record after record. Previously, it showed the highest number of registered names following the results of the Sunrise and Landrush periods. Now .ONLINE has beaten the competitors by quantity of names registered in the first day of public registration. In total, for the first 30 minutes after opening of public registration in the domain, there were about 28,000 registered names, but their general number, as a result, exceeded 37,000.
It allows Radix Registry, having the domain, to look forward with big optimism. "I estimate that we should be able to get to a million names in a period of two to three years", – Domain Incite quotes the Radix CEO Bhavin Turakhia’s words. Thus, Turakhia pointed out that it is on a conservative basis, and in reality a million could be reached faster. Radix CEO also reported that there are about 680K names ending on "online" only in the .COM zone. According to his opinion, this is the evidence that .ONLINE will be extremely demanded in the market, and its starting progress isn't an accident at all.
