New .ONLINE gTLD meets expectations of analysts who consider it as one of the most promising among all new domains. According to Online Domain, the domain is on the record schedule. Following the results of five days Landrush period (during which the most "delicious" names can be purchased for about $150), more than 700 names were registered in zone. Thus, a Landrush period record for new domains previously set up by .NEWS (about 400 registrations) has already been surpassed, and Radix Registry’s representatives don't doubt that this number will still increase to the end of Landrush period.
Earlier, .ONLINE had already broken a Sunrise-period record for new domains, collected 775 registrations at this stage. According to ntldstats.com for yesterday’s evening, there are about 1,600 registered names in the domain. General availability in .ONLINE starts tomorrow, on August 26.
