Nominet’s Head of Information Security received a prize from a living legend of cryptography

Awards ceremony Women in IT took place in London. It highlights the achievements of the fair sex in the work of information technology, which is traditionally considered man’s field. Cath Goulding was awarded Security Champion of the Year. She is the head of information security at Nominet, registry of the UK’s national domain.

Awarding the prize in this category was one of the highlights of the ceremony. Cath Goulding received a prize from the living legend of cryptography - 91-year-old Betty Webb who worked at the Government Code and Cypher School Bletchley Park during the WWII. She actively participated in the interpretation of the Nazi code «Enigma».

Nominent’s CEO Russell Haworth pointed out that information security problems are of primary significance for the national domain registry and the recognition of Cath Goulding’s success in this field is the highest mark for the entire company.
