Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Name Association (APTLD) presented a statistical report. According to the data, 22809266 names have been registered in the 33 country code domains that are members of the APTLD by the beginning of 2015. After a certain decline in the mid-2014 in the recent months a slight growth could be noticed in the country code domain members of APTLD. As a result the average growth last year was 0.44% (the data is comprised from 23 country code domains, that monthly provide information to APTLD).
If we talk about the last month, the best growth dynamics in absolute and relative terms was demonstrated by by country code domain of Malaysia .MY. Almost 25 thousand names were added, it has increased by about 10%. In absolute terms it is followed by national domain of Iran .IR and New Zealand .NZ. In relative terms the second and third place are held by ccTLDs of Qatar .QA and Indonesia .ID respectively. It should be noted, however, that not all of the APTLD members provide information about registration numbers and growth dynamics on time or give permission for the publication of the data. Respectively, the report data might not reflect the complete picture.
