Swiss firm SWITCH Foundation, which is a registry for the national domain .CH, announced the termination of registrar services. Till recently SWITCH was one of the largest domain registrars in the country. However, since January the company ceases to work in this capacity.
In relation to this all necessary instructions for the clients were published on the SWITCH webpage. Phased transfer to other registrars will be conducted from April 2015 till March 2016. Notifications stating the necessity to transfer domains will be sent out to the administrators three months before the registration expires, the first letters will be sent by mid-January. A list of registrars in the .CH domain zone is also published on the webpage.
SWITCH Foundation will retain the function of the national domain .CH registry and will focus on ensuring stability and security of the Internet in Switzerland.
