«Avatar», a movie filmed by James Cameron in 2009, is still the largest grossing film in history. Until recently the movie webpage was AvatarMovie.com. However, film company Twentieth Century Fox has finally managed to acquire the domain that suits a lot better which is avatar.com.
It was registered long before the movie came out in 1990. And till recently belonged to a small consulting firm Avatar Consultants in Montana (USA). The amount paid hasn’t been disclosed, however, it could be suggested that Montana consultants gained enough. Especially since in 2016 a sequel to the movie «Avatar-2» is going to hit the screens.
