As it was reported earlier, the largest Chinese state investment corporation CITIC Group was the first one in the world to replace its domain in the .COM zone by a new dot-brand .CITIC. For some time domain CITIC.COM served only to redirect users to company’s website LIMITED.CITIC. Many observers considered this an important milestone for the entire New gTLD program.
However, the joy might have been premature. For several days now CITIC Group has been using their webpage at CITIC.COM again. LIMITED.CITIC for now is unavailable. Is it a consequence of strategy change of the Chinese company or just an evidence of temporary technical problems remains unknown: representatives of CITIC Group haven't given a comment so far.
