KV Spirits LLC announced acquiring the domain name KorsVodka.com for $750 thousand. The sale is one of the highest since the beginning of the year on the domain market and is the second biggest for domains that have the word ‘vodka’ in them (the record deal is the 2006 sale of the domain vodka.com for $3 million).
Kors vodka is positioned as the most expensive in the world, it is designed only for true connoisseurs of the drink that are willing to spend any amount of money for the very best. “Known as the “Tsar’s Vodka” due to it being distilled using the same century old recipe made for the Russian Tsar Nicholas II and King George V of England», says Kors Vodka press release. The most expensive is priced at $24,500 for a bottle.
KV Spirits LLC represents interests and promotions the Kors Vodka brand on the market, and the purchase of the domain is quite logical. However, it is not quite clear why the owners of the Kors Vodka brand haven't proven their rights on the domain the legal way. The name of the previous owner of the domain hasn’t been disclosed.
