The National Arbitration Forum has upheld a complaint from Yahoo regarding the HackYahooFree.com domain name. The domain was registered in 2013 in Panama and was clearly used in bad faith. There was little suspense over the outcome of the arbitration, not least because the domain administrator did not respond to requests from the National Arbitration Forum.
Still, it took about two and a half months to move the complaint, filed on January 30, through the pipeline. The decision of the National Arbitration Forum states that the domain was registered and used by its current administrator in violation of Yahoo’s ownership rights. The domain name will be transferred to Yahoo within the next two weeks.
