Google to give away 5,000 free new gTLD domains

Google has launched an intriguing marketing campaign in the new .みんな namespace administrated by the search engine giant's spin-off. The new gTLD domain can be translated from Japanese as “everyone” or “either.” The first 5,000 applicants will receive a coupon for a free one-year registration.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their website idea in the .みんな domain before April 5. The campaign is not, however, generosity without example. The standard annual registration fee for the .みんな domain is only $13.
