Largest Internet companies keep observance of their rights. In recent days two of them have filed a UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution) complaint at the National Arbitration Forum concerning improper registration and usage of domains.
Thus, Microsoft’s attention was attracted by Hispanic domain MicrosoftAntipirateria.com. It’s a bit amusing that judging by its name it is designed to reflect Microsoft’s position in the fight against piracy. At the same time Yahoo filed a complaint against YahooTechnicalHelp.com, because it has nothing to do with it and has no idea what technical support administrators of the page are offering on Yahoo’s behalf.
Apparently, we are taking about the cases of cybersquatting. And since Microsoft and Yahoo own the rights to their trademarks all over the World, it is very probable that both domains will be soon managed by the companies.
