ICANN, together with UNESCO and Internet Society (ISOC) are currently finalizing a framework to establish a glossary of Internet governance terms for Arabic users.
ICANN outlines the importance of full participation of all stakeholder and geographical communities in Internet governance and the management of the global network. The corporation also notes that the lack of the necessary Internet terminology knowledge tends to be an increasingly disadvantaging issue for industry professionals, hindering their active participation in the Internet governance process. This new glossary of the Internet-related termsy for the Arabic-speaking communities will help tackle those difficulties. The creation of the glossary will be an open process where everyone can join their efforts.
