National Arbitration Forum has ruled the case of youandroid.info in favor of Google. The complaint for youandroid.info domain had been submitted in the end of September. The decision undertaken by panelist John J. Upchurch was obvious: Google owns the Android trademark.
Moreover, the domain name was stated as confusingly similar to the trademark. The investigation showed that the domain had had been used in bad faith. Youandroid.info was registered by an Alexey Lebedev from Russia, together with 1&1 Internet AG, and was used for redirecting Russian users to a Russian site with Google’s original logos and trademarks, offering to download Android apps.By National Arbitration Forum’s decision, youandroid.info is to be managed by Google from now on.
