French capital’s authorities started second level of applications acceptance for registering domain names in .paris domain zone. Paris has become one of the first world capitals which got its own top-level domain in the frames of the correspondent ICANN program.
On the first level applications were taken from large companies, non-governmental organizations, small and medium businesses and well-known Parisians whose future web-sites in .paris domain zone Paris’ municipality considers as “Capital of France’s embassies in Internet”. On current second level there will be chosen candidates for managing the most important for the city second-level domains for services providing: “visit.paris”, “transport.paris” and others.
Applications acceptance will last till the middle of December and the first web-sites of .paris domain zone are to appear in Internet in 2014.
