African state Gabon declared on domain names registration rules liberalization in national domain zone .ga. As of today anyone can registrate his own domain name in .ga zone.
The service is provided by My GA registry managed by ANINF (Agence Nationale des Infrastructures Numeriques et des Frequences - National Agency on Numeric and Broadcasting Infrastructures) of Gabon. The registration of a domain name is free and application for a domain name in .ga zone can be submitted both by Gabon citizens and by citizens of any other country without any limitations. The renewal of the expiration date on the registration period cease will also be for free.
“Gabon is willing to become one of the largest IT-centers in Africa, - Siriak Kuma, representative of ANINF, said commenting on this decision. - By providing free registration in .ga zone we want to stimulate Gabon citizens and business structures to a more active Internet use and Internet-business development.
