“Positive Content’ contest became a stage of the European Content Award

All-Russian contest of sites for children, teenagers and youngsters “Positive Content” was chosen as a national stage of the pan-European award for the best online-content for children.

The Award is established by the European network of Safe Internet Centers Insafe. “Positive Content” contest organisers are Coordination Center for TLD RU, RU-CENTER, The Foundation for Internet Development and ROCIT. The contest is supported by Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation.

The winners of the “Positive Content” contest of this year will have a possibility to become participants of the pan-European award for the best online-content for children. Organizational committee will choose those applications among the winners which correspond with the pan-European award categories. There are four such categories: adult professionals, adult non-professionals, individual young people and school classes/groups of young people. The applicants will be announced on the day of the All-Russian “Positive Content” contest award ceremony.

25 European Union countries representatives participate in the pan-European award as well as from Norwegia and Russia. The winners will be determined by the pan-European jury, which consists of one representative of each award participant country, according to the criteria conducted by the Organizational Committee of the pan-European Award. The awards handing will take place in Brussels on February, 11, 2014, on International Safe Internet Day.

The fifth All-Russian sites award for children, teenagers and youngsters “Positive Content” contest started on June, 1st, 2013 in the frames of celebrating the International Children Protection Day. The aim of the contest is to find the most qualitative, useful and safe sites for children and teenagers. That’s why the organizational Committee supports the White list of sites “Positive Content” and the system of their daily monitoring. These sites are useful and fully safe for children of any age, and are recommended for studying and using in schools, for self education at home. The applications acceptance will finish October, 1st, 2013 and the winners will be determined by the experts and Youth jury by November, 2013.
