.RU domain took the fourth place on the maximum growth indexes among twenty largest country domains of the world. Russian domain was outpaces by Chinese domain (.CN), Tokelau (.TK) and Indian (.IN). The high five list is completed with French domain (.FR).
The European association of the country registers CENTR published a report on the condition of country domains. The report describes the main tendencies of the domain industry for the last 6 month.
According to the CENTR data, Chinese domain .CN is the leader on growth indexes for the last 6 months (82.7%). The second in the list as well as the largest domain in the world became .TK domain (Tokelau). Now there are 15.5 mln domain names in it. It’s worth mentioning that anyone can register a domain name in .TK zone for free, that’s why there are so many domain names and high growth rates in the domain. .IN and .RU domains show high grow indexes (14.3% and 12.5% correspondingly). French domain .FR is on the fifth place on growth indexes (6.4%).
Among European domains .RU domain takes the second place on growth indexes for the previous year (19.4%). Portugal domain .PT takes the first place (27.4%).
It’s worth mentioning that large domain zones where there are more than 2 mln registered domain names have averagely grown for 7.3% during the same period.
