ICANN's CEO Search Committee has announced that, along with their HR partner, they have collected well over 100 candidates for the position. After 27 potential candidates were selected by Odgers Berndtson, ICANN's HR partner, 16 of them were then interviewed by the company's board by phone.
Selected candidates still have to undergo some face to face interviews, ICANN says. After that, a presentation to the ICANN Board for intensive interviewing is to be made, followed by a decision to be made by the Board. ICANN's CEO Search Committee believes that the search process might be complete in mid-April.
Rod Beckstrom, who is a current CEO for the non-profit organization with a yearly salary of $750,000, leaves ICANN in July when his three-year contract expires. ICANN has created a special CEO Search Committee which is in charge of finding the right person to fill in ICANN's most valuable position.
