The 90th Members Meeting of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD) will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from September 14 to 17, 2026. The event also marks the 30th anniversary of Mongolia’s connection to the global internet. Experts from the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ will be taking part in the conference.
On September 16, Irina Danelia, Deputy Director of the Coordination Center, will speak in Session 7A, Capacity Building in Action: Empowering ccTLDs through Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing. The session will focus on current strategies for developing national domain extensions, strengthening cooperation among registries, and sharing expertise to improve the resilience and effectiveness of the Asia-Pacific domain community.
Vadim Mikhailov, Infrastructure Consultant at the Coordination Center, will join Session 7B, Understanding the Threat Landscape: Risks Facing ccTLD Registries Today (Technical Perspective), whose participants will discuss pressing cybersecurity challenges for national domain extensions.
Maria Kolesnikova, Chief Analyst at the Coordination Center, will present a report in Session 8, From Local Realities to Regional Impact: ccTLD Leadership in Driving Universal Acceptance (UA). The session is dedicated to ensuring robust support for multilingual domain names in digital services across the Asia-Pacific region.
The participation of representatives from the Russian national registry in the APTLD 90 program underscores the Coordination Center’s active role in the international professional community. The Center’s experts will share their experience in administering the .RU and .РФ domains, including approaches to combating DNS abuse and developing digital infrastructure.

The Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD) brings together more than 50 national registries from the region, including the registries of major national top-level domains, such as Russia, China, India, and others. Founded in 1998, APTLD is one of four regional organizations of national top-level domain registries. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has been contributing to APTLD’s work since 2010.
