In August, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ held two first aid training sessions at its office. Organized by the National First Aid Training Laboratory, the sessions were conducted by instructor Yulia Frumkina under the Russian Red Cross’ First Aid Training program, in accordance with international standards for first aid and resuscitation. The training was designed to prepare employees to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations.
The training combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice. Participants learned basic first aid procedures and immediately put their knowledge into practice through simulated emergency scenarios, taking on the role of rescuers and working through a range of potential situations. At the end of the course, all participants successfully completed the required practical assessments and received certificates.
Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev emphasized the importance of first aid skills for the team:
“First aid skills are a foundation that every professional should have today. We are accustomed to ensuring the security and reliability of digital infrastructure, but the ability to protect human life and health in a real-life emergency is no less important. Confidence and a willingness to help are an essential part of our corporate culture.”
Following the training, Coordination Center employees are ready to put their new skills to use not only in the workplace but also in their everyday lives. As participants noted, the combination of theory and hands-on practice helped turn the knowledge they acquired into practical skills, while greater confidence in their abilities became a major outcome of the training.
